An American startup is squeezing the plastic waste into usable building blocks

With a recycling goal of 100 million tonnes of plastic by 2030, ByFusion is repurposing plastic rubbish by steaming and compressing it into 8 x 8 x 16-inch cubes called ByBlocks. These carbon-neutral blocks have the same proportions as conventional concrete blocks. The innovative approach of decreasing landfill waste and recovering value from post-consumer plastic is becoming increasingly popular in sustainable design projects.
