Green construction material created from animal exoskeleton

A new design pattern inspired by invertebrate hard shells has helped create a more damage resistant material for future building and construction. Researchers at Monash University developed a lightweight, high strength cement composite utilising 3D printing, nanotechnology, and artificial intelligence. This discovery will help reduce the use of cement by making the material more resistant to damage.
